Made from upcycled blueberry seeds - a by-product of the juicing industry - Blueberry NECTA™ is an antioxidant-rich active oil that shields the skin from blue light exposure. Rich in essential fatty acids and protective phytosterols, together with a standardised level of carotenoids, it protects against oxidative stress by neutralising free radicals and external pollutants. It's also a natural source of pro-retinol; making it particularly ideal for both anti-ageing & blue light protection skincare.

Blueberry NECTA™ has been proven to absorb blue light, working as a natural shield against HEV exposure from the sun and digital devices.
In an absorbance study, Blueberry NECTA™ was shown to absorb high energy visible light at 3% use level.
SOURCE OF PRO-RETINOL
Blueberry NECTA™ is a natural source of pro-retinol (vitamin A). Topical retinoids in general have a well-documented effect on skin health including visible improvements in fine wrinkles, skin smoothness and hyperpigmentation of photodamaged skin.
FREE RADICAL SCAVENGER
This eco-luxe oil supports barrier function and protects against oxidative stress; Carotenoids, phytosterols and EFAs work to provide a natural method of protection against free radical damage. Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids also support normal skin function and appearance.

Blueberry NECTA™ is high in linoleic acid. Linoleic-rich oils nourish and protect the skin without being too heavy, whilst offering a method of hydration.
PERMEABILITY ENHANCER
Blueberry NECTA™ is high in oleic acid too, which is known to permeate skin layers without disordering other fatty acids in the skin. It also acts as a permeability enhancer for other compounds present in plant oils.

Blueberry NECTA™ has been proven to absorb blue light, working as a natural shield against HEV exposure from the sun and digital devices. When compared against a control, Blueberry NECTA™ demonstrated significant absorbance activity.
