In keeping with our ZERO WASTE BEAUTY® philosophy, the raspberries used to create Raspberry NECTA® are a waste product of the juice production industry.
The oil is extracted from the seeds of the waste pulp, which is upcycled into a luxurious active oil for personal care.

Raspberry NECTA® contains a standardised level of natural vitamin E
Vitamin E is an integral part of the skin’s antioxidant defences, primarily providing protection against damaging free radicals. Studies show that raspberries in particular contain just over 200mg/100g total tocopherol content, significantly outweighing other seed oils.
Raspberry NECTA® contains a standardised level of vitamin E and has been shown to contain nearly 20% more tocopherols than standard raspberry seed oil.

In addition to its high vitamin E content, Raspberry NECTA® is rich in omega-3 (alpha linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid) fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids help the skin retain moisture, regulate oil production, and maintain elasticity. Omega-6 has a particular role in structural integrity and barrier function of the skin, and can be extremely useful in the treatment of cutaneous disorders.
Based on studies, the levels of omega-6 fatty acids in raspberry oil are higher compared with blueberry seed oil, cranberry seed oil, kiwi seed oil and strawberry seed oil.
Clinical studies have also shown that Raspberry NECTA® is effective at hydrating the skin when incorporated into a base lotion at only 1% to 3% levels.
Raspberry NECTA® is a powerful antioxidant
Raspberry NECTA® was tested using the ORAC method to measure antioxidant capacities in biological samples in vitro. Raspberry NECTA® demonstrated significant antioxidant activity - especially when compared with standard raspberry seed oil (+120%) and standard blueberry seed oil (+61%)!
Raspberry NECTA® is cold-pressed and unrefined
Just like our other zero waste oils, Raspberry NECTA® is cold-pressed and unrefined. By extracting the oils from the seeds via cold-pressing, we preserve and protect the precious active micronutrients already present within the oil.
