BRAND SPOTLIGHT:
FOOD FOR SKIN

NATURAL SKINCARE MADE FROM
UPCYCLED VEGETABLES, PLANTS & SEEDS

Food for Skin is a Dutch B-Corp Certified skincare company that makes 100% natural skincare with upcycled ingredients. They work with cold-pressed, food-grade ingredients and upcycled by-products wherever possible. Currently, 40% of their ingredients are upcycled, and they are committed to increasing that share as they develop new formulas and find new opportunities to give valuable ingredients a second life.

Their philosophy is simple: fewer products, better results. They believe in small, honest routines that support the skin barrier, rather than complicated routines and unnecessary promises. Their formulas are deliberately straightforward: each product combines several active ingredients without unnecessary extras, and is free from perfume, parabens, SLS, microplastics and GMOs.

Sustainability is not an add-on, but part of how Food for Skin formulate and make decisions. This approach has also gained the brand international recognition, most recently through the Cartier Women’s Initiative in 2026.

APRICOT BODY BAR
WITH UPCYCLED WHITE RICE CRUSH

The Apricot Body Bar is Food for Skin's mildest soap bar, made for sensitive skin and anyone who prefers their skincare allergen-free and unscented.

The 100% natural, vegan formula combines olive and coconut oil with shea and mango butter and two upcycled ingredients: apricot kernel oil and White Rice CRUSH™. The latter is made from upcycled white rice that would otherwise go to waste. White Rice CRUSH™ fits naturally with Food for Skin's aim to make better use of valuable ingredients already available to us.

Together with upcycled apricot kernel oil, the finely milled rice starch complements the nourishing oils and butters to create this gentle yet creamy cleansing bar.

With 0% added fragrance or colour, the Apricot Body Bar is deliberately stripped back to what the skin needs, without unnecessary extras. It is handmade in Amsterdam and comes in fully plastic-free, recyclable cardboard packaging. As a concentrated, waterless bar, it is also a simple alternative to bottled body wash.
